Bedwetting or nocturnal enuresis affects twenty percent of children at age 5, 10% at age 10, and only about 1% at age 15.1
As children grow, so does their nervous system, urinary control and bladder function. Accidents are bound to happen! Around age 5, children should be able to have full bladder control. If they don't, that indicates they may have nervous system dysfunction going on within their bodies. Nervous system involvement explained:
In one study, 25% of chiropractic care treated children had 50% or more reduction in the wet night frequency from baseline to post-treatment while none among the control group had such reduction.2 In another study, The records found 22 out of 33 patients showed complete resolution of primary nocturnal enuresis during the 12 months after the start of chiropractic care. The resolution rate was 66.6% within 1 year.3 Of course, there are other factors that may lead to bedwetting but nervous system dysfunction is one of them. Chiropractic care is a safe and gentle way of helping your little one’s nervous system to function optimally. This will help the brain - body communication to help alleviate some of those issues.
